Used bookstores are like treasure troves for book lovers! There's something magical about browsing through shelves filled with stories waiting to be discovered. And finding a new favorite author feels like meeting a new friend.
A few of my favorite used bookstores are:
Symposium Books – an independent bookstore on Westminster Street in Downtown Providence. They’ve a great selection of both new and used books. Their staff are strong and knowledgeable, and the Westminster Street is a great area filled with small businesses and restaurants. @symposiumbooks.
Paper Nautilus Books – my go-to bookstore around the corner from my home in Wayland Square. They specialize in rare and recent books, an impressive collection at great prices. @papernautilusbooks.
The Book Barn – The Book Barn is a hidden gem and absolute paradise for book enthusiasts! The combination of open spaces, art, and of course, countless books create a space that's both inviting and inspiring. The smaller outbuildings have curated selections, from art to science to history and many more literary treasures. Containing over 500,000 used & rare books plus gardens, farm animals, and lots of seating to enjoy your selections! @bookbarnniantic.
What's on your summer reading list?....
I've earmarked:
Homer's Odyssey
Barbara Kingsolver's - Demon Copperhead
Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Living to Tell the Tale
Truman Capote's Summer Crossing
Robertson Davies - The Cunning Man
John Irving's - The World According to Garp
